We loved spending a week in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs in our Van and had some fun times. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails around Colorado Springs and we loved the sweaty workout going up the Manitou Incline, a steep hill that gains nearly 2,000 feet of elevation over less than one mile. A total of 2768 wooden steps aide in the climb, but many of them are big steps, so it feels more like doing lunges uphill than walking a staircase.

Since sleeping in your vehicle is illegal in Colorado, we won’t be recommending any overnight parking spots. That being said, stealth camping is practiced and free overnight parking is available throughout both cities of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.
