Campsite Review: Harvest Hosts – Sanders Ridge Winery and Organic Farm, NC

Wander Green At Sanders Ridge Winery

Out on the rolling hills of North Carolina lies Sanders Ridge Winery and Farm, a beautiful 150 acre wineyard and organic farm that has been in the family for 6 generations. The owners Neil and Cindy Shore have put a lot of love into their work and it shows in every detail. From making award winning wine to growing certified organic produce that puts more emphasis on taste than on quantity, the winery has also build a beautiful restaurant and tasting room nestled in the woods of their property.

The building is stunning with southern charm and built with pinewood and stone harvested from their own land. Sanders Ridge Winery and Farm is a member of Harvest Hosts – a membership program that invites RVers for a small annual fee onto the host’s properties for an overnight stay.

We had such a wonderful experience at Sanders Ridge! We were welcomed warmly and learned from Cindy herself during our wine-tasting about the farm and winery. The produce is being sold at surrounding farmers markets that we went to visit and stocked up our fridge with their delicious veggies. We were allowed to park our travel trailer in the midst of their field next to the beautiful vineyard and woods and we had the most tranquil time spending a couple of days on their land.
